Postal Service officials confirmed on Tuesday they were dropping plans to sell the Half Moon Bay post office and relocate to a smaller branch. The decision reverses cost-saving plans made two years ago to put the large post office building on the market and downsize local mail service to a smaller building. Post office representatives say the idea failed because they could not find a buyer or a suitable new location to handle mail service in the area.
