Historic Norwich CT post office heads toward closure and sale


The Postal Service is moving ahead with plans to close the historic post office in Norwich, Connecticut, sell the building, and move retail services to a yet-to-be-determined new location.  Joseph Mulvey, Postal Service real estate specialist, announced the decision on December 19.  Elected officials say they will appeal, but such appeals have not been successful in other communities.  A final decision could be rendered as early as February.  Read more.
